Sound advice for workers

Over 17 000 workers in the UK suffer deafness, ringing in the ears or other ear conditions caused by excessive noise at work.


Many workers are exposed to noise levels at work that may be harmful and once your hearing has gone it will not come back. Find out if you are at risk

Please help with crucial health and safety research

We've commissioned our research partner to conduct a major survey amongst workers across the nation, about health and safety practices at work


If you meet ALL the following criteria we would really appreciate you completing the survey:

  • Are a paid or unpaid member of staff, or work on a self-employed basis (but do not employ staff yourself)  
  • Do not have overall responsibility for ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at your place of work
  • Work in one of the following sectors: Waste & Recycling; Mining; Quarries; Onshore oil & gas; Gas & Pipeline; Fairgrounds and theme parks; Explosives.


You can complete the online survey here before 31 January 2018.
