Sadly the recipe below doesn't seem to work for chromium. I even created
a new user with just the settings you sent and they do work in other
places, just not in chromium :(

This is good hint, I like it better to manage things in env instead of
magic X resources I don't quite understand.

Not sure this has any effect on chromium...
