I'd prefer a completely different port (possibly sharing
a textproc/tree-sitter/Makefile.inc file to share common information
like github account/version etc). I have added a comment to that effect:
# XXX To keep the requirements list small, do not build the tree-sitter
# program (written in rust) from this port. Use a new port instead.
