For reference, we have been using /tmp on mfs on various machines for many
years without issues.

This includes machines with unusual kernel configurations, no swap partition
configured, etc.

Many of our ports building machines put a large pobj directory on mfs, again
without issues.

I also frequently use very large MFS partitions ~50 Gb on a machine with
128 Gb of physical RAM for for mastering BD-R DL discs.

The mfs code has been stable for many releases in all of these scenarios.
