I did not know about this method. I will try it, if it works, then I will update the README. UNFORTUNATELY, with my setup, I encountered a problem where I need this module, albeit not for loading the FPGA board itself: A second USB device I had (Which I used for UART communication with my design) did not work with ugen(4). So removing uftdi(4) completely was too much, I needed to be more precise. Hence my suggestion with the kernel patch.
