Yes, sdl2-jstest is supposed to fail without the gamecontroller API component of the sdl2 update that I sent. sdl-jstest is supposed to work though. Based on reports by awolk@ it may only look at up to uhid2, so make sure the device attaches to 0, 1, or 2.
