Re: OpenBSD IPSec setup

Oh no, he really wanted to know why you are not using openvpn instead. I'd say because I can transfer at 1GBps with ipsec, without the bugs of openvpn...

Re: Enabling BFD on a VLAN interface

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the quick response. Sorry I thought it was enabled already, my mistake.

Re: Enabling BFD on a VLAN interface

Hi Tristan

BFD is not yet finished, so it is disabled. It was not enabled for the
6.1-release, sorry.

Sorry for the breakage (and I wonder how I managed to get it built
and packaged here).

Looks fine by comparing the results of show=LIB_DEPENDS-{main,lua,python}
here. So if it fixes the packaging for you, ok of course.

Enabling BFD on a VLAN interface

Hi all,

I currently have BGP setup to our ISP using openBGPd, this works great. I saw that the current stable 6.1 has BFD support added and wanted to enable this using route -n change x.x.x.x -bfd, but seem to have an issue here.
The route is using a VLAN interface and I don't seem to reply to any BFD messages. Is BFD also supported on VLAN interfaces? or am I waisting my time debugging this.

Thanks!

Tristan

OpenBSD 6.1 on Toshiba Satellite SM30-612

Hallo!

I just installed OpenBSD in the above old Laptop.

I get a console with text mode, and very unsharp fonts in Xorg.
Does this mean no KMS? Does someone perhaps have a tip to fix
the unsharp fonts?

Below is Xorg.0.log and dmesg.

Thanks in advance
Rodrigo.

Re: Import and switch on py-pathlib2

Hi,

I started with scandir. I seem to have lots of test failures. Log
attached.

Some of the failures go away once the package is installed, suggesting
at least a missing self-dependency for tests...

No need to remove it IMO.

The port looks good. Some tweaks:
- no need to set REVISION for a new port. Since xorriso is currently
unhooked, we can safely kill it.
- patch-configure can go away if we tweak CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS through
the environment.
- NO_TEST should only be used if tests fail because there are no tests.
This is not the case here.
- I suggest using upstream's description for DESCR

With the diff below committed, ok jca@ to hook up xorriso in
sysutils/Makefile.

UPDATE: sysutils/pick

Hi,
Update pick to 1.7.0 from maintainer, most notable changes:

- Add support for HOME and END keys

- Read keys from the terminfo(3) database, currently limited to HOME and
END

- Add support for Ctrl-V/Alt-V and Alt-</Alt-> alternative key bindings
for HOME and END, and Page-Down and Page-Up respectively

- Don't move the cursor upwards if no choices where printed

- Fix selection bar vanishes on Page-Down bug

The complete changelog is available here[1].

Comments? OK?

Updated diff that copes with the renaming of cl_cv_c_struct_return_small
to ffcall_cv_c_struct_return_small. Someone with a sparc64 at hand
could delete the sparc64-specific hack in the Makefile and check that
everything still works fine.

[update] libffcall-1.13 (tests wanted on multiple archs)

Hi,

Bruno Haible kindly notified us of the release of libffcall-1.13.

http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=149830931016250&w=2

This new release will hopefully let us drop the not-so-nice patches we
have.

With the following diff, ''make test'' works fine on amd64 and arm.
''make test'' passes for lang/clisp and lang/gforth on amd64, lang/clisp
can now be unlocked on arm.

Test reports are welcome, especially on those architectures:

alpha hppa i386 mips64 mips64el powerpc sparc64

ok/comments?

2017/06/29 - vlan(4)/svlan(4) ifconfig(8) changes

Following current on vlan change from vlan to vnetid,

this is in quite some time now right?
I see this
https://cvsweb.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/sys/net/if_vlan.c?rev=1.161&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
which is Fri Apr 15 04:29:59 2016

Apparently the old configuration vlan N vlandev
still works. Is the removal going to happen any time soon or after 6.2 ?

regards,

Giannis

[NEW] sysutils/xorriso-1.4.6

Hello,

here is the port of xorriso, iso9660 file manipulator.

For my mistake, I already imported this to CVS tree.
Sorry and if there is serious problem please remove it on CVS.

Thanks a lot, Stuart!

ok jca@

There are a few more fixes on the 1.6 branch in the git repo, maybe they
would be worth backporting too. If anyone using knot-1.6.8 on -stable
wants to have a look, be my guest.

I think this is OK to import.

I know there has been a desire to have something in base to handle this
type of configuration for a while, and that would still be nice to have,
but as-is this is quite an improvement over the shell scripts that I'm
sure many of us have written (especially in terms of handling networks
with dubious SSIDs).

it builds, but doesn't package:

: ===> Building package for texworks-0.4.4p0v0
: Create /mnt/packages/i386/all/texworks-0.4.4p0v0.tgz
: LIB_DEPENDS x11/dbus not needed for editors/texworks,-main ?
: Missing library for estdc++>=17.0

dbus is an old one (and non-fatal), the WANTLIB was dropped a long time
ago (it accesses this via QtDBus now) so we can just drop that from
LIB_DEPENDS-main.

estdc++ is new, the simplest way to get the right values for the current
arch is to pick up gcc (and qt)'s libs from LIB_DEPENDS, like so.

ok?

Committed, thanks.

Re: Firewall won't forward IPv6 traffic

Is PF blocking anything?

tcpdump -neipflog0 -vv

Are comcast one of those ISPs that only route your prefix if you've
requested it via DHCPv6-PD?

Hi,

Have you tested your configuration without any firewall?

Firewall won't forward IPv6 traffic

Arrite, fellow OpenBSDers, here's the skinny:

I have native IPv6 from Comcast (one of the few good things about Comcast, but I digress). I was assigned a /56 block as you will see below.

I have a three-legged firewall running OpenBSD 6.1. I have static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses configured on the external interface (fxp0) and both internal interfaces (sis0, my internal network) and sis1 (an interface that is connected to my cheap Netgear wifi router and which blocks traffic to the internal network from that interface. I'm paranoid and I don't trust Netgear's implementation of anything. Deal.) The supplied IPv6 default gateway is configured in /etc/mygate. I can ping IPv6 addresses from the firewall, but not from my Mac Mini which is behind the firewall on sis0 - for love or money. The only way I have been able to get it to work briefly was when I did not have any IPv6 rules configured in /etc/pf.conf and it NATted traffic through the external IPv6 address on fxp0. This isn't how IPv6 is supposed to work, though, as each IPv6 device is supposed to use its own global unicast address, so pf should forward this traffic as such, amirite?

Some output:
