On my list now the temperature has dropped a bit.
Basically, db/fake.mtree is no longer really necessary.
Specifically, we no longer do FAKE_AS_ROOT, ever, so all special properties
of mtree are no longer of any use.
Recreating that tree manually will make more sense, and allow to inject
variables like LOCALBASE and SYSCONFDIR properly.
