I made sure the ports tree was cleaned repeated what I did earlier.
libkcddb builds but k3b does not because of Missing library for
KF5Cddb>=0.0

In case it helps, I will install KDE etc. from -current on a new
installation this weekend. Will do a cvs checkout ports on that system
and see if make install for k3b works there.
