Ensure you are safely working at height

Working at height remains one of the biggest causes of fatalities and major injuries.

Our working at height website shows what employers need to do to protect employees. It includes a helpful step-by-step guide on how to assess the risks and prevent falls.

 

The site has a range of useful information, guidance and resources for employers, including common work at height myths and frequently asked questions.

With 3.5 million people employed as shift workers in the UK, across a wide variety of industries, worker fatigue is one of the key human factor topics. 

 

Poorly designed shift-working and long working hours that don't balance work demands with time for rest and recovery can result in fatigue, accidents, injuries and ill health.
