I wanted to try out on macppc, as this diff is removing pre gcc-8 stuff,
to see if they were really not needed anymore. It builds fine there [0],
i tried against several latex documents without issues.
On amd64, the upgrade worked fine. While reading the diff, i've spotted
that in texmf/pkg/PLIST-buildset, this should be commented:
+share/texmf-dist/scripts/texlive/uninstq.vbs
Other than that, it looks good to me. OK cwen@, with the above change,
even though the diff would deserve more eyes on it given its size and
importance.
