I was the original submitter for this as it used
to be a requirement for py-discogs-client. It is
no longer needed and as far as I'm concerned it
can be removed.
That said, I submitted a patch to bring python3
support to this two years ago[0] :) I think the
lack of interest is a good sign that this can
be removed.
