gutenprint 5.3.4
Basically I am a newbie now setting up printing. I may have many things
wrong at this stage, BUT ...
I determined that my printer (Canon MP280) was best served by
Gutenprint, which package I duly added. It appears that the Gutenprint
PPDs were not extracted to the gutenprint directory in the cups system.
They should be extracted using the cups utility cups-genppd and I
checked the man page for details which is to say that the man page is
installed. However when attempting to run the utilility itself it is
reported as 'not installed' by ksh (either as user or root).
Whereto from here? Thanks in advance for any guidance.
