current woukd be a workaround really, updates are fast there but there are
no -stable packages to deal with.
There's no actual solution yet, next release will be the same (i.e.
updates to release packages should get checked quickly but -stable will
be back to the pre-7.2 speed) unless someone figures out what's causing
it in the meantime.
