Our home working guidance provides details of straightforward actions to manage home workers' health and safety.   This includes reducing the risks of stress and poor mental health as well as working with display screen equipment (DSE).   There is also: advice for home workers a video and practical tips on good posture when working with DSE Company fined after worker fractures back and ribs following fall A worker fell 5 metres in the incident, which occurred following the installation of a rooflight frame. He stepped from the roof onto the platform, at which point a board broke, causing him to fall to the ground below. As a result, the worker suffered fractures to his back and ribs.   HSE's investigation found that the company had failed to adequately plan the work at height and failed to provide suitable work equipment to enable the work to be carried out safely. Protecting pregnant workers and new mothers You must carry out an individual risk assessment for pregnant workers and new mothers.
