It has been updated to: simplify the navigation to help you easily find the information you need remove outdated content and replace it with up-to-date practical guidance remind you that HSE's definition of violence includes aggression, such as verbal abuse or threats – this can be face to face, online or over the phone The guidance will help you assess the risks, put the right controls in place to protect workers and report incidents and learn from them.     We have specific guidance on how to support your workers after a violent incident. There are also examples drawn from typical situations.    We have separate advice for workers, which explains how they can help employers prevent violent incidents at work. Manual handling at work: guidance on the law As an employer, you must protect your workers from the risks of manual handling injuries in the workplace.  You can find help with preventing these sort of risks in your workplace with our step-by-step guide.   Our manual handling website pages have a range of useful information and advice for employers, including sections on assessing manual handling and training for workers.   There are also links to a variety of useful resources. These include our free-to-download publications: Manual handling at work: a brief guide Manual handling: guidance on Regulations Farmer fined after dog walker thrown into the air and trampled by cow The dog walker was thrown 8 feet into the air by a cow which then repeatedly trampled on him as he tried to crawl away.
