View our full list of press releases on the Media Centre. | | | 19 May 2023 The manufacturing company was fined for failing to ensure employee safety after a worker's arm was broken by a lathe. 18 May 2023 The firm was fined after a worker was struck and killed by an HGV while it was reversing out of a parking space in a transport yard. 16 May 2023 The waste company was fined £30,000 following the amputation of a worker's leg after he was run over by a reversing telehandler. 16 May 2023 The company was fined after a demolition worker suffered serious injuries in a platform collapse. HSE's investigation found that the company had failed to implement appropriate precautions for worker safety at height. 15 May 2023 The two companies were fined a combined total of £1.6 million following the wall's collapse which was caused by instability, improper reassembly, and the weight of nearby scrap metal. The company directors both received 9-month custodial sentences. 13 May 2023 An HSE prosecution is underway for a total of four deaths and injuries on a guided busway, with charges against the responsible authority. 5 May 2023 The employer was sentenced for failing to assess risks and implement safety measures after a worker fell 30 feet through a fragile roof. | | | | |
