I'm not an OpenBSD committer; and I have no say on anything getting adopted by the project.
That said, thank you very much for donating your time and design skills to this!
I tried your version of the site on my ThinkPad T440 with OpenBSD 7.3-release, all syspatches applied, and packages updated two days ago, running XFCE.
In both Firefox and Chromium, just index.html is shrunk in width to about 60 percent of the screen width, and off to the left hand side.
See attached screenshot.
The other pages display fine.
On my iPhone 8 Plus, Firefox displays the index page very nicely! The other pages functionally don't display any better than the original, but no worse either.
In order to properly submit your changes for consideration, you need to sort out whatever font files or other issue is preventing you from submitting a full diff of your changes.
Have you tried cloning https://github.com/openbsd/www , apply your changes and use Git to generate a diff?
I'm excited for the prospect of a change like this and I hope you can iron out these issues.
