Re: >10W idle power usage on framework laptop 12th gen 13inch

Hello,

Just a quick thing I wanted to point out.

Having low charge cycles is good, that isn't the issue. Having a charge
cycle of 5 means the battery has only been discharged and recharged 5
times, this means it *should* be in good health.

What was pointed out was the fact that the amps have dropped
significantly in 5 charge cycles. Now, batteries aren't perfect and
they will fluctuate, further the charge controller has its own mind on
how to recharge the battery, how much, and when not to.

However, going on the numbers alone, in 5 charge cycles your battery
health at the last recharge was 84%, 16% decrease in 5 charge cycles...

That is what was being pointed out, a battery shouldn't lose so much of
its designed capacity in 5 charge cycles, 16% is a noticable amount of
charge to lose.

Hope that clarifies the reason it was pointed out. It is unlikely the
answer to the problem you are having, but it is a separate issue you
might want to monitor.

Take care,
