Hello,
Want to hear something funny? I think I figured out the issue and I
think its pretty funny.
E6430 has a eSATA/USB port... I plugged it into that without thinking,
and out of desperation to fix the problem I decided "hm maybe the USB
port is an issue", switched the port and pppoe hasn't lost carrier once
in the last 4 hours (3 hours longer than before).
It was the port all along, apologies for the noise.
However I have a question now, does OpenBSD support eSATA/USB combo
ports? If so, any reason why this is causing issues with my USB NIC?
Not really sure how to debug this going forward, so any pointers might
be useful... however I doubt it matters, just use one of the other 3
USB ports...
Take care,
