I'm sorry I don't know enough about perl packaging to answer. However, if this is the perl module default, I guess it makes sense?

Also works fine, but I've noticed that on configure stage it complains as:
That's because they're runtime dependencies that are not installed at
build time. We could set
BUILD_DEPENDS += ${RUN_DEPENDS}
or something similar, but strictly speaking these dependencies are not
needed to produce the package, just to run its content.
Do the configure stage really needed here? Special which complains for
missed dependencies.
