Hello OpenBSD Misc,
I have observed that network interfaces such as ix, ixl, vmx, and others support multi-queue functionality. Initially, I thought multi-queue support was exclusive to physical interfaces. However, upon noticing this feature in the vmx interface, I realized that even virtual/cloned interfaces could possess multi-queue support.
That said, based on my observations through kstat, I see that this support has not yet been activated in OpenBSD for virtual interfaces like tun, wg, or vxlan, which are critical in today's networking landscape.
In this context, I wonder if this is technically infeasible, or if it's simply not on the roadmap yet. I believe I wouldn't be mistaken in saying that this feature would likely attract interest beyond just myself.
Thank you and best regards.
