Sorry I wasn't clear about "how far misc is misc". I meant I really consider
the unix generic tools, langages and philosophy as a core of any unix
system. I actually think that we should have more spaces to talk about
it. I feel sad when I realize people use complex software just because
they don't understand the genericity of tools like awk, make and so on.

I don't want to talk about C, I want to talk about C the way openBSD
community think about it, use it. get some anectotes on my way.

But as I said: I understand some people have different visions.

Well. there are so many things to discuss there I don't have the time
to dive into it. I really appreciate reading your opinion thu.

*this* is out of the scope but really interesting :)

I fully understood that then I tried to speak for
* those who run away from web on purpose.
* thoes who share the feeling that C is a langage and any community has
its own dialect.

I value diversity so I really consider Stackoverflow as a giant culture
crusher using a technology which is the exact contrary of the unix philosophy.

I consider the web as a way to private anyone to do anything with the
data we collectively produced. I call it spoliation.

I consider this place as the right place to talk about unix culture and
code (which is a part of openBSD).

please tell me if I'm wrong.
