I don't use nano but surely it's only a couple of key strokes to mark
the current word and cut it...

This is the wrong list for such requests. This list is about packaging
third-party software, not about extending it. If you really think nano
needs something special for this: https://nano-editor.org/contact.php

Here's a polite request, no offense intended: please stay away from the
development lists until you have grown a stronger understanding of how
things work around here. And while I'm at it, please refrain from sending
things you mark as [OT] to misc. If even you think it's off-topic, perhaps
you should not bother to send it in the first place.

After all, most of us are are here since we want to work on an open
source operating system. Unfortunately, some people force us to waste a
significant amount of time on wading through and filtering out
completely useless noise that has nothing or very little to do with
OpenBSD. I estimate that about 90% of your contributions on the OpenBSD
mailing lists so far fall into that category.

It's extremely tedious.
