This whole issue should have taken less time to fix than this entire discussion we're having.  Instead, somehow it's okay for everyone everywhere to deal with all these broken links everywhere simply because of some invalid justifications that do not even make any sense in the grand scheme of things.  So far, you have not provided a single valid reason for breaking EVERY SINGLE LINK on the website.

I'm seeing a lot of talk and zero substance.

If it's that simple, surely you can implement and host it yourself, and thus show everyone how wrong they are.

Tip #1 for posting online: if lots of folks consider a problem to be hard, but you think it's trivial, quite a lot of the time you will find that the problem is in fact hard and that you missed at least one critical detail somewhere.

Tip #2 for posting online: loudly demanding things in free software communities very rarely yields the desired result
