I regret having responded to this thread. Not because of you, but because
I feel this matter has received more collective attention already than it should
have.

I care about the age of the submitter only as much as I think that exposing a
11-year old kid to ridicule and scorn on a public mailing list isn't right.

That does not mean that I think we should look into porting "FerrumC", and it
does not mean that I'd ask anyone to endorse, let alone praise the effort.
Simply ignoring this would have been altogether a better solution (imho), one
that incidentally works equally well for run-of-the-mill trolling attempts.

I dislike these things as well, but being unkind towards an overambitious kid
won't fix them.
