With v2.3.0 the program is rewritten in Rust. There are quite a few changes in the port from the previous version. - Dedicated _reaction user for running the program - /etc/reaction folder where multiple configurations can be placed - wheel group access required for using reaction commands Having the _reaction user run the program does require this user to be given permissions to the log files which can be done in different ways depending on a admin's desires. It will additionally require granting doas access to pfctl. This makes installing not as out-of-box as before and requires referencing the README, but I think its better than running reaction as root.
