Past jca confirms that alpha hasn't been tested in a looong time: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=173099690826160&w=2 You could test 17.2 if you want but I wouldn't expect much. > gdb/configure.host sets alpha*-*-openbsd* to a gdb_host of nbsd, which > in turn, through gdb/configure.nat, puts nat/netbsd-nat.o in > NATDEPFILES, and fails to compile. > > I can try and cook something up, but considering the long build times I > would appreciate some help from people with more advanced educated > guessing skills in this area. Anyone willing to do so can give you a hand, but as far as I am concerned this is a low priority: - most likely not a new problem - a working egdb is not as critical on gcc archs as on clang archs When I get some time on my hands I'll probably take a look at egdb on sparc64 first. Thanks for the attempt and good luck in your alpha endeavour! -- jca
