There is quite a high bar for how useful something needs to be before considering adding to ports when it's this hard. pandoc and shellcheck just made it but pandoc is not getting updated promptly and it seems an order of magnitude simpler than these (network facing) ports. > I've spent months debugging one problem after another, first with > Cabal dependencies, then with the GHC version, and finally with > OpenBSD-specific issues. > > I genuinely believe I've done my best to organize everything as > properly as possible. Sorry but one of the things we consider when deciding whether to import something is whether it's maintainable. If there's an urgent security update there need to be at least a few porters who can handle it. If it's this hard to port, it's going to be super difficult to maintain too. We don't have to have everything in ports.
