PKGNANE should look like ssc-0.1.2, the 'v' should not be in there.
I didn't test but that is the most likely reason.

Use a subdirectory when creating the tar, i.e. files like ssc/Makefile
not just Makefile.
Setting WRKBUILD/WRKCONF/CONFIGURE_STYLE/SEPARATE_BUILD shouldn't be
needed, the cmake module takes care of the setup needed for this.
Needs a license marker to go with PERMIT_PACKAGE.
Follow how other ports look for whitespace.
